About this site
Shelly Beach sits on the Manly side of Sydney's Northern Beaches, in a sheltered bay just south of the Manly headland facing Cabbage Tree Bay. The cove is protected from swell, which makes it a popular entry point for shore dives and snorkelling in this part of Sydney Harbour's ocean coastline. The area falls within the Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve, a no-take marine protected zone. It's a beginner dive reaching a maximum depth of around 13 metres, and divers have reported cuttlefish and wobbegong sharks in the bay.
