About this site
Shetani lies off Tumbatu Island, on the northwest coast of Unguja, the main island of Zanzibar, across the Tumbatu Channel that separates it from the mainland shore. The site is reached by boat from settlements along Zanzibar's northwest coast, and the channel is known for its currents. Divers here have reported granulated sea stars, lynx cowries, and ocellate phyllidia among the reef life.
