About this site
Shimajirizaki Blue Hole (島尻崎ブルーホール) is a boat-dive cave site in the Aguni and Tonaki islands area of Okinawa, about 1 hour 40 minutes by boat from Naha, with a maximum depth of 20 m. The topography is the draw, with the exit of the hole framing deep blue water, best around midday on a bright day; average depth tends to run deep, so gas checks and a torch are needed. Sweepers, pempheris, painted spiny lobster, emperor angelfish and whitetip reef sharks are seen. Some current depending on day and hour; intermediate and above.
