Sibuan Island lies in the Celebes Sea off Semporna in Sabah, part of the small island cluster near Sipadan and Mabul in northeastern Malaysian Borneo, though the coordinates given here place it toward the eastern Kalimantan side of that same maritime region. The island is known for its white sand cay and shallow surrounding reef, typical of the Semporna archipelago's islets.
