About this site
Silvertip Bank lies in the Mergui Archipelago area of the Andaman Sea, off the coast of Myanmar's Tanintharyi region, in open water reached only by liveaboard from ports such as Kawthaung or Ranong. It is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported barracuda, trevally, and tuna passing through the area, and there have even been reports of whales in the vicinity.
