About this site
The Isle of Skye lies off the northwest coast of Scotland in the Highland council area, separated from the mainland by the Sound of Sleat and connected by the Skye Bridge at Kyleakin. Its coastline is heavily indented with sea lochs such as Loch Scavaig and Loch Dunvegan, offering a mix of sheltered inlets and more exposed Atlantic and Inner Hebridean waters. Diving here reaches depths of around 50 metres and is rated technical, reflecting the demanding conditions found among these lochs and exposed stretches of coast.
