About this site
Soft Coral Plateau lies off Beqa Island, separated from the Viti Levu mainland by the Beqa Lagoon and Beqa Channel, and is typically reached by boat from Pacific Harbour. The site is a reef dive to a maximum depth of around 27.4 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Currents moving through the channel feed the soft coral growth the area is known for, and divers have also reported reef sharks on the plateau.
