About this site

South Button is a small island site off Henry Lawrence Island in the Andaman archipelago, part of India's Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Bay of Bengal, dived on itineraries running out of Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep) and Port Blair through the Ritchie's Archipelago waters. It's a wall dive reaching a maximum depth of around 25 metres and is rated a beginner site. Manta rays, Napoleon wrasse, nudibranchs, octopus, and surgeonfish are all regularly encountered along the wall, and divers have also reported angelfish, barracuda, batfish, leopard and zebra sharks, lionfish, snapper, and trevally in the area.
