About this site

Stephen Ledge sits off Wilson Island in the Andaman and Nicobar chain, in the Bay of Bengal, reached by boats running out from operations based around Havelock and Neil Island. The site is a rocky ledge reaching a maximum depth of about 24 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Bannerfish, grouper, lionfish, manta rays, napoleon wrasse, and snapper are regularly encountered here, and divers have also reported barracuda, eagle rays, marble rays, moray eels, reef sharks, sea turtles, trevally, and tuna around the formation.
