About this site
Spanish Head marks the southern tip of the Isle of Man, near the Calf of Man, where the Irish Sea meets a stretch of exposed coastline known for strong tidal streams. Dive sites along this part of the island are typically reached by boat out of Port St Mary or Port Erin. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have also reported heavy trawler traffic in the area, worth keeping in mind when planning a descent or surfacing.
