About this site

The SS Hamada wreck lies off the coast of Qesm Marsa Alam, part of Egypt's Red Sea Governorate south of Hurghada, in an area of fringing and offshore reef systems typically accessed by boat from the coastal town. The wreck sits at a maximum depth of around 50 metres and is rated a technical dive. Sea turtles and tuna are a regular presence on the site, and divers have also reported barracuda, jacks and amberjacks, triggerfish, whale sharks, and wrasse.
