About this site
The SS Romny lies off the Calvados coast of Normandy, in waters facing the Bay of the Seine along the English Channel. This stretch of coastline saw heavy shipping traffic and wartime losses during the 20th century, and it is dotted with wreck sites reached by boat from the Calvados ports. The wreck rests at a maximum depth of around 30 metres, and divers have reported lobster, nudibranchs, and wrasse around the site.
