Steropus Reef sits off the northwest coast of Mauritius, in the waters near the island's lagoon and fringing reef system in the Grand Baie area. This stretch of coast is typically accessed by boat from the nearby resort towns along Mauritius's northern shoreline. Divers here have reported blackspotted puffers, blue-green chromis, brown tangs, Indian sailfin tangs, spotted linckia starfish, and striped large-eye bream on the reef.
