About this site
Tabarca Exterior lies off Nueva Tabarca, the small island south of Santa Pola in the province of Alicante, within Spain's Valencian Community. The island and its surrounding waters form a marine reserve, one of the oldest protected marine areas in Spain, and dive sites here are typically reached by boat from Santa Pola or from the island itself. It is rated a beginner dive, and divers have also reported barracuda passing through the site.
