About this site
Tadanae Jima (タダナエ島) is an island site off Kozushima in the Izu Islands, Tokyo, well known as a rock-fishing spot, which means it is rarely diveable as anglers are usually on the rocks. It is a cave site with two caverns, north and south, each at 15 m and extending 20 m back, packed with spiny lobster and schools of sweepers; suitable from beginner level, with some current. The island is ringed by a vertical drop-off with yellowtail amberjack and white trevally, butterflyfish and schools of anthias.
