Takat Penyu lies off Gili Air, one of the three Gili Islands sitting between Lombok and Bali in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The name translates roughly to turtle patch, reflecting the shallow reef terrain typical of this stretch of the Gili Air coastline. The site sits over a reef bottom reaching a maximum depth of around 26 metres and is rated a beginner dive.
