About this site
Tarpon Reef lies off North Abaco in the northwestern Bahamas, in the shallow waters bordering the Bahama Banks rather than the deeper Caribbean basin further south. Reef sites in this area are typically reached by boat from nearby cays and settlements. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 29 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. Divers have also reported lobster among the reef structure here.
