About this site
The Arch sits off Bo Wei Island in the Mergui Archipelago, a scatter of granite islands off Myanmar's Tanintharyi Region in the Andaman Sea. Like most sites in this archipelago it is reached by liveaboard out of Kawthaung or Ranong, given the remoteness of the islands from mainland ports. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 25 metres, and divers have reported frogfish, grouper, scorpionfish, and wrasse on the site.
