The Boardroom

The Boardroom sits off Pura island, on the north side of the Alor archipelago in the Lesser Sunda chain of Indonesia, an area cut by narrow straits with strong tidal flow between islands. The site is a reef reaching a maximum depth of around 40 metres, rated as a beginner dive despite the strong current that runs through here. Divers have reported batfish, bumphead parrotfish, damselfish, eagle rays, fusiliers, napoleon wrasse, scorpionfish, snapper, surgeonfish, and trevally around the reef. Dive sites in this stretch are typically reached by boat from Alor or Kalabahi, often on liveaboard routes passing through the strait separating Pura from Pantar and Alor, and the current here is the main factor to plan around.
