About this site
The Canyon lies along the Dominican Republic's coast at roughly 19.86 N, 70.79 W. It reaches a maximum depth of about 20 metres over a sandy bottom, is generally considered an intermediate dive, and divers have reported great visibility here. Divers have also noted swim-throughs or overhead terrain resembling cave-like features at the site, so some caution around any enclosed spaces is worth keeping in mind. Barracuda, grouper, lobster, and moray eels have also been spotted along the site.
