About this site
The Gardens lies near Kudat, at the northern tip of Malaysian Borneo, where the South China Sea and Sulu Sea meet. Despite the Kalimantan Timur label attached to it, the coordinates place it in Sabah rather than in that Indonesian province further south on the island. It is a shallow reef site with a maximum depth of around 2 metres, rated a beginner dive, making it suited to easy, relaxed reef exploration close to the surface.
