About this site
The Wall sits along the outer reef edge of Lhaviyani Atoll in the northern Maldives, where the atoll rim drops steeply into deeper channel water, a formation common to sites carrying this name across the Maldivian archipelago. It's reached by boat from resorts and liveaboards operating in the atoll. Divers here have reported blacktip reef sharks and bluefin trevally along the drop-off, along with reef fish such as emperor angelfish, humpback snapper, orangestripe triggerfish, paletail unicornfish, red-tailed butterflyfish, and both roundhead and swarthy parrotfish.
