About this site
Thetford Reef is part of the Great Barrier Reef system off Queensland's coast near Cairns, in the far north of the reef area. It lies within the outer ribbon reef zone, reached by boat trips out from the Cairns and Port Douglas region. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an intermediate dive.
