About this site
Tinga Giri lies within Lhaviyani Atoll, a coral atoll in the northern Maldives reached by boat from the resorts and dive centers scattered across the atoll's islands. Like most sites in this part of the Maldives, it takes its name from a local thila or giri, the Dhivehi terms for the coral reef formations that rise from the atoll's lagoon and outer edges.
