About this site
Tong Cave lies in the Koh Phi Phi island group off the coast of Krabi province in southern Thailand, an area characterized by limestone island formations in the Andaman Sea. Dive and snorkel sites around Phi Phi are typically reached by long-tail boat or dive boat from Phi Phi Don or from the Krabi mainland. Divers here have reported blacktip reef sharks and Moorish idols alongside reef fish such as blackeye thicklip, eightband butterflyfish, Java rabbitfish, and moon wrasse, along with nudibranchs including domino nudibranch, ocellate phyllidia, and Rudman's phyllidiella on the rock and coral surfaces.
