Toyapakeh Wall and Scope

Toyapakeh Wall sits off the northwest coast of Nusa Penida, across the channel from Nusa Lembongan, in an area known for strong tidal currents moving between the islands. The site is a wall dive with a slope of coral leading down the drop-off to a maximum depth of around 30 metres, and it is a regular stop for boats working the Nusa Penida circuit alongside sites like Crystal Bay and Manta Point. Currents through this channel run strong and shift with the tide, which is part of why the dive is rated advanced, and that strong current is the main hazard divers have flagged here. Divers have also reported sea turtles along the wall, alongside reef fish such as Moorish idols, whitecheek surgeonfish, yellowtail fusiliers, semicircle angelfish, blacklip butterflyfish, Clark's anemonefish, and Pacific trumpetfish, plus smaller finds like magnificent chromodoris and varicose wart slugs.
