About this site
Toyon Bay sits on the leeward side of Santa Catalina Island, along the coast between Avalon and Two Harbors in Southern California. The area is part of the kelp forest habitat typical of Catalina's sheltered eastern shoreline, and it has historically been associated with a marine science and educational facility onshore. Diving here tops out at around 6 metres, making it a beginner site well suited to shallow exploration of the kelp beds close to shore.
