About this site
Turtle Bay lies within the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Queensland, in the tropical waters north of Cairns, and is generally reached by boat from nearby coastal towns or outer reef pontoons. It is rated a beginner dive, making it accessible to those early in their diving. Divers have also reported currents and larger swells moving through at times, so conditions on the day are worth checking before entering the water.
