About this site

Twin Cheeks lies in the Mergui Archipelago off Myanmar's Tanintharyi coastline in the Andaman Sea, an area typically reached by liveaboard given the remoteness of the islands. The site sits over a rocky bottom and reaches a maximum depth of around 35 metres, rated an advanced dive due to strong, at times vicious, currents. Divers have reported reef sharks, leopard sharks, manta rays, and whale sharks passing through, along with Napoleon wrasse, sweetlips, trevally, barracuda, and smaller reef life like angelfish, batfish, clownfish, frogfish, and fusiliers. The strong current that shapes the dive is also what draws in the bigger pelagic sightings here.
