About this site
Umm Aruk is a reef site on Egypt's Red Sea coast, in the Marsa Alam area based on its coordinates. It reaches a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is considered a beginner dive. Divers here have reported a wide range of reef fish including angelfish, Arabian Picasso triggerfish, batfish, blackback and masked butterflyfish, exquisite butterflyfish, elegant unicornfish, bluefin trevally, and lionfish, along with Napoleon wrasse and occasional spinner dolphins passing through.
