About this site
Unse (運瀬) is a pinnacle site around an exposed rock off the east side of Tokashiki Island in the Kerama Islands, Okinawa, with a maximum depth beyond 40 m, dived as a drift around the rock. On the north side, large fish and big schools are highly likely on the ebb tide, alongside small fish such as Kerama and Kashiwa anthias; the south side has many palette surgeonfish and redtooth triggerfish over a shelf packed with coral. Away from the shelf the bottom drops sharply, so the safety stop becomes a blue-water hang. Current is moderate and strong at times; suitable from beginner level.
