About this site
Vallecitos Point offers rocky reefs and kelp forests teeming with marine life. Expect vibrant garibaldi, calico bass, and occasional leopard sharks. The site features dramatic drop-offs and swim-throughs, with visibility often reaching 30 feet. Strong currents can occur, making it ideal for drift diving. The shallow areas are perfect for beginners, while deeper sections challenge experienced divers. Water temperatures range from 55-70°F, so a thick wetsuit or drysuit is recommended. The site is easily accessible from shore, with entry points near the rocky coastline.
