Verde Island

Verde Island sits in the Verde Island Passage between Batangas and Mindoro Oriental in the Philippines, a channel long noted for its concentration of marine biodiversity. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 80 metres, is rated an intermediate dive, and runs over a reef bottom with strong current as a defining feature. Divers have also reported down currents here, so conditions warrant caution and attention to the reef's topography. Batfish, eagle rays, manta rays, reef sharks, and tuna have been spotted at the site, though this is best treated as a partial rather than complete picture of what divers may encounter.
