Viking Cave

Viking Cave sits on Phi Phi Lee, the smaller and uninhabited of the two Phi Phi islands off the Krabi coast in the Andaman Sea. It is named for ancient markings on its cliff face once thought to resemble Viking ships, and the surrounding waters are part of the boat routes that circle the island near Maya Bay. The area is also known for its swiftlet nests, harvested for bird's nest soup, visible on the cave walls above the waterline. Below the surface, the dive site runs over a reef bottom to a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Pufferfish are a regular sight here, and divers have also reported batfish, clownfish, fusiliers, lionfish, mantis shrimp, moray eels, nudibranchs, pipefish, reef sharks, scorpionfish, sea turtles, and stingrays around the reef.
