Vobster Quay

Vobster Quay is an inland dive center set in a flooded quarry near Radstock, in Somerset, England, developed as a purpose-built training and recreational dive site. It draws divers from across the southwest of England for its accessible, controlled conditions compared with open water sites, and operators there have sunk various attractions, including vehicles and structures, to give divers something to explore. The quarry reaches a maximum depth of around 36 metres, with the deeper sections and overall profile placing it as an intermediate dive rather than a beginner one. Visibility and temperature are typical of a freshwater quarry site, meaning cooler water and variable clarity depending on recent weather and stirred sediment. It suits a range of divers, from those working toward certifications in the shallower areas to more experienced divers pushing toward the deeper parts of the site or practicing skills before open water trips.
