About this site
Irabu Island sits off the northwest coast of Miyako Island in Okinawa Prefecture, part of the Kyushu region of Japan, and is known for the limestone formations that shape much of the diving along its coastline. W-Arch refers to a rock formation along this coast, where the local terrain is defined by arches, caverns and drop-offs typical of the Miyako island group. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 35 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Divers have also reported trevally and tuna passing through the site.
