About this site
While at anchor, the crew was taking advantage of the weather to do laundry using a small stove in the forecastle. Leaving it unattended while they atto dinner, a fire broke out, and it gained ground quickly when it reached the tarred decks. The crew escaped into the yawl boat. Lies in about 4.6 m; sank 1904.
