Wailea Point

Wailea Point sits along the southwest shore of Maui, in the resort area of Wailea on the island's leeward coast. The point marks a rocky outcrop between the sandy beaches that line this stretch, facing the channel waters toward Kahoolawe and Lanai. The dive here runs over a reef bottom to a maximum depth of about 12.2 metres and is rated a beginner site. The reef holds cauliflower and hump coral, and divers have reported dusky and goldring surgeonfish, manybar goatfish, saddle wrasse, and the Hawaiian spotted toby moving among the coral heads. Manta rays have also been reported passing through the area.
