About this site
West Ridge is one of the dive sites along the reef fringing Sipadan Island off the coast of Sabah in Malaysian Borneo, an island rising from a steep underwater seamount in the Celebes Sea. Like other sites around Sipadan, it is a wall dive, with the reef dropping off steeply into deep water just off the edge. Current here is generally light, making it a more manageable stretch of the island's wall diving compared to some of its neighboring sites.
