About this site
Orchid Island, known locally as Lanyu, sits off the southeastern coast of Taiwan in the Pacific, populated by the indigenous Tao people. Its coastline is made up of volcanic rock formations dropping into deep water, and Yayo Drop-Off is one of the named wall entry points used by local dive operators. The wall here reaches a maximum depth of around 70 metres and is rated a technical dive. Divers have also reported ghost pipefish and glassfish along the drop-off.
