Elefant is a single rock that breaks the surface and is shaped like an elephant's head, dived by circling it anti-clockwise to reach a steep wall that drops from 12 metres down to 30 metres and beyond, with a rocky bottom throughout.
At 30 metres, sections of an old fishing net remain on the bottom and serve as habitat for large numbers of peacock worms. Dark-pointed dorids — nudibranches also known as cowshells — are regularly seen along the wall, and the many swim-throughs around the rock offer a good chance of spotting Spanish lobsters.
