About this site

Elephant Beach is a reef site off Havelock Island in the Andamans, known for dense coral cover and easy access from the shore. It is popular for snorkelling and for beginner dives, with depths of around 12 metres at most.

Conditions are shallow and sheltered, and the season runs from November to May. Divers have reported turtles, butterflyfish, batfish, fusiliers, pipefish, anemones and porcelain crabs over the hard coral, along with humphead parrotfish and the occasional seahorse.
