About this site
Ice Box is a boat dive off Kauai, Hawaii, made up of a series of small ledges on a reef, rated intermediate to advanced. Depth runs from 60 to 95 ft (18 to 29 m). Like General Store, it is named for the good hunting there in the old days.
The ledges hold lots of small caves where many animals hide out during the day. The reef is diverse and interesting.
Soldierfish, whiskered boarfish, black coral and helmet conch are found here. Whiskered boarfish are seen on a regular basis, along with white tip reef sharks and turtles.

Because of the shape of the site, currents are lighter here than at other sites, making it a good dive for a moderate diver.
