About this site
Sheraton Caverns is the most popular boat dive on Kauai, about 400 yards (365 m) offshore, at depths of 35 to 70 feet (11 to 21 m). It suits all skill levels.
Three partial lava tubes make up most of the site, with nooks and crannies, archways and partial overhangs. The giant Pocillopora coral heads are some over 100 years old. Frogfish and black coral live here, and green sea turtles are so common that this is arguably the best place in Hawaii to dive with them. The fish are used to divers and many barely move as you pass.
