Outfall Trench lies off West Palm Beach on Florida's southeast Atlantic coast, part of the Palm Beach County dive area known for its nearshore reef ledges running roughly parallel to the shoreline. The site is reached by boat from Palm Beach inlet and drops to a maximum depth of around 60 metres, making it a technical dive. Divers have reported grouper, hammerhead sharks, tiger sharks, and Portuguese man o' war in the area, though these sightings come from limited reports rather than consistent records. The name points to its proximity to a drainage or outfall pipe structure, a feature found at several sites along this part of the coast.
