Mushroom Forest is a reef dive site off Curaçao that can only be reached by boat. It is named for its giant mountain coral formations, which can be seen from the surface on calm, clear days.
The shallower zone lies at 8 to 12 metres, and the dive is rated beginner, in calm water with light current and great visibility. Among the corals are blue tang, French angelfish, parrotfish, chromis and blue surgeonfish, with southern stingrays and peacock flounders on the sand, and barracuda and small tuna passing by.
