Pertamina Pier, also known as Cais da Pertamina, is an industrial pier dive site in Timor-Leste where the underwater environment beneath the working structure offers exceptional macro marine biodiversity despite its unremarkable surface appearance.
The pylon columns supporting the pier deck are encrusted with sponges, tunicates, and anemones, and shafts of sunlight filtering down through the pier deck illuminate these growth-covered structures, creating habitat for rare and unusual creatures.
