Cathedral Rocks is a shore dive at Rockport, Massachusetts, reached from Cathedral Avenue. It is rated advanced, with a maximum depth of about 24 metres (80 feet).
Access is by a narrow path that runs from the road down to the rocks. From the road, a 40-yard (about 37 metre) slope of steeply carved, undulating granite leads to the water. Roadside parking is limited, and Rockport has been known to restrict it. Free parking is available across the street and on nearby side streets.
The exit is dangerous unless conditions are calm, and the site has claimed the lives of several experienced divers. The best plan is to time the exit for high tide on a day with light winds from the west. The underwater topography and marine life are rated highly, and the site is regarded as one of the best dives in New England.
