Madelene's is a sandy dive site associated with the Jack Neil area, featuring a large sandy bottom surrounded by reef on both sides that drops to around 60 ft (18 m), with the sandy area continuing to slope deeper beyond that point. The terrain is defined by two flanking reef sections with the central sand flat making up the majority of the dive space.
The site is well suited to slow, searching dives for small and cryptic creatures. Sea horses, pipe fish, pipe horses, flounders, various nudibranchs, and tiny head shield slugs are all found here, while stingrays regularly feed across the sandy bottom.
With a maximum depth of 18.3 m (60 ft) and a gentle, sandy profile, Madelene's is considered a beginner-level site.
