Ngatangiia is a village on the southeastern coast of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, known historically as the departure point of several waka that voyaged to New Zealand. This dive site sits near the village and its school, close to Ngatangiia Harbour, over a reef bottom reaching a maximum depth of around 25 metres and rated as a beginner dive. Divers here have reported black sea cucumbers, greenfish sea cucumbers, and lollyfish sea cucumbers on the lagoon floor, along with blue linckia sea stars and small giant clams. Hawaiian convict surgeonfish, sunset wrasse, and threadfin butterflyfish have also been spotted, alongside Indo-Pacific rock-boring urchins among the reef structure.
